Throughout the year SRM hosts Family Day events for our team to spend a day with their families. Over 21,000 team members and their families join us for a fun day at local amusements parks across the country.
Team SRM is cultivating an environment of local engagement across all of the communities we operate in. By volunteering their time and resources to support our community partners, our team members are able to build relationships with schools, non-profits and other local initiatives.
We recognize and appreciate the hard work of our team members by selecting a weekly “Go-Getter” nominated by their coworkers. A Go-Getter is someone who goes above and beyond to get the job done every day, and we believe they deserve to be appreciated and encouraged for their efforts.

SRM hosts an annual Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Team members from all of our locations come to hear our leaders cast vision for the upcoming year, connect with each other, and learn from an esteemed speaker.
Developing and investing in our team has always been a priority at SRM. Throughout the year, we provide our team members opportunities to grow and let their voices be heard for the growth and betterment of our company. Through conferences, certifications, leadership books, and training, our team members are challenged to examine every aspect of their role and ways they can grow personally and professionally to better serve their team and our customers.
One of the ways SRM develops our team members is by hiring within our company for leadership positions. In 2023, SRM made 62 promotions to leadership roles such as Ready-Mix Instructors, Plant Managers, and General Managers.
SRM strives to make the transition to civilian life easier for our Nations Veterans by cultivating an environment conducive to their military experience. Veterans excel at SRM due to their acquired ability to take ownership, make quick decisions, and strive for excellence.
Every year, we take over 200 team members to the World of Concrete Conference in Las Vegas. At the conference, our team members participate in workshops, meet other industry professionals, and learn from experts in the field.
