Mike Hollingshead is the Chairman and Founder of SRM Concrete, a company he established in 1999 with just three trucks and a backyard plant he built with his wife, Melissa. A former concrete finisher, Mike was motivated to start SRM after experiencing firsthand the poor customer service offered by local ready-mix suppliers. Determined to do better, he built a company rooted in service, reliability, and family values.
From those humble beginnings, SRM Concrete has grown into a national industry leader while remaining family-owned and operated. Today, Mike focuses on the long-term direction of the company, guiding strategic growth initiatives, overseeing special projects, and cultivating relationships with potential sellers to support SRM’s continued expansion.
Beyond his business leadership, Mike is deeply committed to philanthropy. He actively supports children’s charities and dedicates time and resources to improving the quality of life in his hometown of Rutherford County. Jeff Hollingshead serves as the Chief Executive Officer of SRM Concrete, where he leads a team of dedicated professionals across the company’s nationwide operations. As CEO, Jeff is responsible for setting the strategic vision, driving growth, and ensuring SRM’s position as an industry leader. He has introduced innovative practices that have reshaped how the construction materials industry approaches customer service, operations, and integration, giving SRM a distinctive competitive advantage.
A key part of Jeff’s leadership is guiding SRM through its rapid expansion. He oversees the closing and seamless integration of acquisitions, aligning new teams and operations with the company’s culture and long-term goals. Under his leadership, SRM has grown from a regional provider into the country’s largest family-owned and operated concrete company, while maintaining its core values of service, reliability, and community.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Belmont University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. Having grown up in the business, he learned early on that hard work, humility, and a strong work ethic are essential to lasting success. His leadership style is rooted in those lessons, blending business acumen with a people-first approach that prioritizes relationships with employees, customers, and communities.
Beyond his role at SRM, Jeff is a man of deep faith who believes strongly in giving back. He supports numerous community and charitable initiatives, reflecting his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the workplace. He and his wife, Holly, have three children.
With more than a decade of industry experience, Ryan serves as the President of SRM Materials and the Finishing Division, where he leads a multistate operation critical to SRM’s continued growth and success. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing quarry operations, ensuring efficient production and distribution of aggregates, and driving the expansion of one of the company’s fastest-growing divisions. His leadership is particularly focused on strengthening the aggregate division, securing reliable, high-quality materials that form the backbone of SRM’s nationwide operations.
Ryan also plays a key role in building and maintaining strategic supplier partnerships, ensuring SRM’s customers benefit from consistency, reliability, and competitive advantage. His ability to align operational performance with long-term growth objectives has positioned SRM Materials as a cornerstone of the company’s broader expansion strategy
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Ryan is a passionate athlete and competitor. He has completed two Ironman competitions and five full marathons, achievements that reflect his discipline, endurance, and commitment—qualities he also brings to his leadership role. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys traveling, teaching the youth classes at his church, and spending quality time with his wife and their four children.
Mike joined SRM Concrete in 2014 and brings more than 35 years of experience in the concrete industry to his role as Chief Technical Officer. In this position, he provides leadership and oversight for technical operations, drawing on decades of expertise in batching, concrete mixing, and operational efficiency. Mike has also been instrumental in advancing safety within the industry, contributing to the creation of the first safety standards for ready-mix truck manufacturing benchmark that continues to influence the industry today.
Throughout his career, Mike has served in a wide range of leadership roles that have given him both breadth and depth of industry knowledge. A graduate of both Dale Carnegie and the FMI Leadership Institute, he is a strong advocate for professional development and continuous improvement. His leadership extends beyond SRM, as he has held numerous roles within industry organizations, including serving as President and Board Member of the Tennessee Concrete Association and taking on multiple leadership positions within the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association. These contributions reflect his ongoing commitment to strengthening the concrete industry and sharing best practices at both the state and national levels.

J.D. joined SRM Concrete in 2009 as Comptroller and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2014. In his role, he oversees all financial operations for the company, including forecasting, budgeting, inventory and costing management, cash flow, and treasury functions. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing accounting systems and procedures that strengthen financial reporting, enhance internal controls, and improve back-office efficiency across SRM’s nationwide operations.
As SRM Concrete has grown into an industry leader, J.D. has played a critical role in securing capital, building syndication relationships, and executing acquisitions that support the company’s expansion. He holds an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.
Beth Smotherman serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at SRM Concrete, where she has been an integral part of the company’s growth since 2003. She leads a comprehensive range of HR services, including talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, training and leadership development, compliance, and employee relations.
Beth has been instrumental in shaping SRM’s people-first culture by building programs that emphasize safety, retention, and career development. She has implemented training initiatives that equip employees for long-term success, expanded benefits and wellness offerings to support team members and their families, and introduced HR systems that improve efficiency and strengthen internal communication. John Van Cheek serves as the Southwest Division President at SRM Concrete, where he leads strategic growth and operational excellence across one of the company’s fastest-expanding regions. Since joining SRM in 2006, John has advanced through multiple leadership roles, including Quality Control Manager, Operations Manager, and the company’s first North Division President. He played a pivotal role in guiding SRM’s expansion into Texas, helping establish a strong foundation for long-term growth in the Southwest market.
A graduate of the Concrete Industry Management program and holder of an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University, John brings both technical expertise and business acumen to his role. He focuses on driving sustainable growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring SRM remains an industry leader in new markets.

Zach Gallaher serves as North Division President at SRM Concrete, leading teams across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Since joining SRM in 2008, Zach has built more than 15 years of expertise in the concrete industry, advancing through multiple leadership roles, including General Manager for the tri-state region of Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. His long tenure with SRM reflects both his deep industry knowledge and his commitment to the company’s family-oriented values.
Zach is passionate about fostering a culture of safety and wellness within his division while also supporting community organizations dedicated to protecting safety. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
PJ Whittaker serves as the West Division President at SRM Concrete, overseeing operations in Colorado and Wyoming. As one of SRM’s earliest team members, PJ has built his career alongside the company’s growth and has worked in nearly every capacity—from hands-on operational roles to leadership positions, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the concrete industry and SRM’s culture of excellence.
Over the years, PJ’s leadership and operational expertise have positioned him as a key driver of growth in several major markets. Before taking on his current role, he served as General Manager in Nashville, TN, where he was instrumental in strengthening operations and building high-performing teams. In 2023, he transitioned to Colorado to lead one of SRM’s largest and fastest-growing markets, where he directs a talented group of operators and dispatchers dedicated to providing exceptional service to customers.
Known for his commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement, PJ emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across his division. His experience and leadership continue to play an important role in SRM Concrete’s expansion in the western United States.

Ben Brooks serves as the South Division President at SRM Concrete, where he oversees operations across Florida, Southern Alabama, and Southern Georgia. Since joining SRM in 2013 as a dispatcher, Ben has advanced through multiple leadership roles, reflecting both his strong industry knowledge and commitment to the company’s growth. After five years, he was promoted to General Manager in Central Kentucky, where he focused on strengthening operations, building customer relationships, and developing high-performing teams. His success in that role ultimately led to his appointment as Division President, where he now leads one of SRM’s most dynamic regions.
Ben’s leadership is rooted in both operational expertise and a strong understanding of the concrete industry. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University’s Concrete Industry Management program, he combines technical training with practical experience to drive efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction across the South Division. Under his guidance, SRM continues to expand its presence in the region while maintaining the company’s family-oriented culture and commitment to quality service.

Jeff Bryant serves as the East Division President at SRM Concrete, where he oversees operations across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Savannah, Georgia. In this role, Jeff leads a large and diverse team, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth in one of SRM’s key regions.
Jeff’s career in the concrete industry spans nearly four decades. He began in 1985 as a mixer operator, gaining firsthand experience in the field. Through persistence, dedication, and a strong work ethic, he steadily advanced into supervisory and leadership positions, ultimately preparing him to guide one of SRM Concrete’s largest divisions. His leadership is rooted in practical experience, and he is known for fostering teamwork, prioritizing safety, and mentoring the next generation of industry professionals.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Jeff is committed to giving back to his community. He volunteers his time with several children’s charities, reflecting his belief in supporting causes that make a lasting impact on families. Jason Mitchell serves as the Central Division President at SRM Concrete, overseeing operations across Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Arkansas, North Georgia, and North Alabama. In this role, he leads a large regional team committed to delivering consistent quality and exceptional service to customers in some of SRM’s most active markets.
Jason began his career at SRM leading the dispatch office in one of the company’s busiest areas, where he gained firsthand experience managing logistics and meeting the day-to-day needs of customers in high-demand environments. His ability to balance operational efficiency with a strong focus on customer service earned him a promotion to General Manager in Nashville, one of SRM’s flagship markets. There, he further strengthened relationships with contractors, builders, and partners by ensuring projects were completed on time and with the highest level of service.
Today, as Central Division President, Jason applies that same customer-first mindset on a broader scale. He works closely with his teams to understand the unique needs of each market, strengthen partnerships, and ensure SRM Concrete remains a trusted resource for clients across the region.

Dan serves as the Northeast Division President at SRM Concrete, where he oversees operations for more than 30 plants across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In this role, he leads a large and diverse team, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction in one of SRM’s most dynamic and competitive regions. His leadership is instrumental in driving growth, building strong customer partnerships, and supporting SRM’s continued expansion throughout the Northeast.
Before taking on his current role, Dan served as General Manager in the Detroit market, where he strengthened operations and helped position SRM as a leading provider in that region. His deep knowledge of the industry comes from nearly two decades of hands-on experience. Beginning his career in 2003 as a mixer operator, Dan worked his way through multiple roles, including dispatcher, sales representative, and plant manager, gaining a comprehensive understanding of both operations and customer needs. This background allows him to connect with his teams at every level while maintaining a customer-first mindset in his leadership.
Beyond his professional role, Dan is deeply committed to his family and community. He and his wife, Priscilla, enjoy raising their son, Carter, and coaching youth baseball.
Ben Endsley serves as Division President for SRM Concrete’s cement, block, and port operations, where he brings together several core segments of the company’s business. In this role, he oversees strategy, operations, and growth initiatives that ensure efficiency, sustainability, and long-term success across these diverse divisions. His leadership has been pivotal in aligning these business units to support SRM’s continued expansion and ability to serve customers nationwide.
A Columbia, Tennessee native, Ben brings a strong background in management and leadership development to his role. Prior to his current position, he served as General Manager for Hollingshead Cement, SRM’s cement distribution business, as well as General Manager for the company’s concrete block plants. In both capacities, he drove operational improvements, strengthened team performance, and implemented processes that enhanced productivity and service delivery. These experiences have positioned him as a key leader in advancing SRM’s integrated operations and growth strategy.

Teddy Hazelwood serves as Chief Information Officer at SRM Concrete, based out of the Home Office in Smyrna. With more than thirty-five years of experience in the IT field, Teddy provides leadership and vision for the company’s technology strategy and infrastructure. Under his guidance, SRM’s IT team plays a vital role in ensuring that dispatching systems, communications, and customer services operate seamlessly across the company’s nationwide network. Their efforts are central to SRM’s ability to deliver materials reliably and on time, keeping projects on schedule and maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
He earned his degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technologies from Middle Tennessee State University, equipping him with the skills to bridge technical expertise with operational needs. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing IT solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen security, and support SRM’s continued growth.

Dale serves as Vice President of Aggregates for SRM Materials, where he oversees the daily operations of the company’s aggregate division. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring efficiency, safety, and growth across all aspects of aggregate production and distribution, supporting SRM’s ability to meet customer demand and drive continued expansion.
A graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a degree in Civil Engineering, Dale brings extensive experience in the building materials industry. His expertise spans asphalt paving, site layout design, aggregate production, barge transportation, cost analysis, process improvement, and long-term business planning. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in streamlining operations, optimizing supply chains, and implementing strategies that strengthen both productivity and profitability.

Lora Smith serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at SRM Concrete, where she has been instrumental in shaping and executing marketing strategies that have supported the successful integration of more than 100 acquisitions. Under her leadership, SRM has built a best-in-class marketing approach that blends traditional outreach with innovative, non-traditional methods, ensuring consistent messaging and strong brand presence across the country.
In addition to leading the company’s marketing efforts, Lora co-hosts SRM’s weekly podcast, As the Drum Turns, and organizes numerous events that connect team members, customers, and communities. She also oversees the SRM Foundation, which supports more than 950 community partnerships nationwide, reflecting the company’s commitment to service and giving back.
Deeply engaged in her community, Lora serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County, the Rutherford County Schools Foundation and volunteers as a Cross Country and Basketball coach. Lora is an alumna of Middle Tennessee State University, where she continues to support her alma mater through community and athletic initiatives.

Chris Ross serves as Fleet Manager at SRM Concrete, where he is responsible for overseeing one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the industry, including mixers, tankers, loaders, and mining equipment. Leading a nationwide network of more than 150 mechanic shops, Chris works closely with a team of shop managers to ensure SRM’s trucks and heavy equipment remain safe, reliable, and efficient. His leadership plays a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring customers receive the on-time service they depend on.
With a degree in Electronics and a lifelong passion for mechanics, Chris has been turning wrenches since 1986. He entered the concrete industry in 1992 and has since built more than three decades of hands-on and managerial experience. His extensive background allows him to balance technical expertise with strategic planning, implementing processes that improve fleet performance, reduce downtime, and extend the life of critical equipment. Chris’s ability to lead teams and manage complex operations has been instrumental in supporting SRM’s continued growth and nationwide service capabilities.

J.D. serves as General Counsel for SRM Concrete, where he oversees all legal matters for the company and provides guidance on corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and acquisitions. He has supported SRM in various legal capacities since 2010 and formally joined the company in 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience in both law and business. His role is critical in navigating the complex legal landscape that comes with SRM’s nationwide operations and continued expansion.
J.D. earned his undergraduate degree from Furman University in 2002 and his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2005. That same year, he was admitted to the Tennessee Bar. He began his legal career at the law firm of Kious, Rodgers, Barger, Holder & King, PLLC, where he developed a strong foundation in business and real estate law. His talent and dedication earned him a partnership at the firm, where he advised clients across a broad range of industries.
In addition to his legal practice, J.D. has extensive entrepreneurial experience. He owned and operated a full-service real estate title and escrow company for more than a decade, gaining deep insight into real estate transactions, financing, and property law. This background uniquely positioned him to add value to SRM’s growth strategy, particularly in the areas of acquisitions, real estate development, and contract negotiation.

Patrick serves as the Chief Accounting Officer at SRM Concrete, where he leads the company’s financial reporting functions and oversees the mentoring and development of the accounting staff. His leadership ensures accuracy, transparency, and compliance in SRM’s financial operations, while also fostering a strong culture of professional growth within the accounting team. He was a partner at a Top 20 accounting firm, where he specialized in financial statement audit services and advising clients on acquisitions. This experience provided him with a strong foundation in evaluating financial structures, assessing risk, and guiding businesses through complex transactions—skills he now applies to SRM’s dynamic, fast-growing operations.
Patrick earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Florida State University and went on to receive his MBA from Florida Atlantic University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the states of Tennessee and Delaware. His technical expertise, combined with his leadership abilities, makes him a vital member of SRM’s executive team as the company continues to expand its footprint and strengthen its financial performance.

Binoy is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he earned his degree in Accounting and Finance. Kushal Shah serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer at SRM Concrete, where he leads the company’s environmental and sustainability initiatives across its nationwide operations. This diverse experience has equipped him with a broad knowledge of industry processes, challenges, and opportunities.
