LACEY'S SPRING, AL — June 30, 2026

SRM Materials has announced the opening of a new quarry in Lacey's Spring, Alabama, marking the aggregate supplier's fifth site in the state.

"With four quarries stretching from Muscle Shoals to Bridgeport, SRM can reliably supply our customers with aggregates across North Alabama. The new quarry will supply a variety of aggregate products to support infrastructure, commercial, and residential construction projects while helping meet the growing construction materials needs in the region. The operation will also strengthen SRM’s ability to serve its growing network of ready-mix plants across North Alabama.

SRM Materials was established to provide SRM Concrete's ready-mix plants with a reliable source of aggregates and has since grown into a leading producer and supplier of limestone, granite, river rock, and sand products for a wide range of construction applications.

Founded in 1999 by Mike and Melissa Hollingshead in Smyrna, Tennessee, SRM Concrete is a family-owned company operating a network of ready-mix plants, quarries, aggregate operations, cement terminals, and related services across 24 states.
