SMYRNA, TN - February 19, 2026

SRM Materials has announced the opening of a new quarry in Bridgeport, Alabama. The limestone site is positioned in the northeastern corner of the state, five miles from the Tennessee/Alabama state line, within the service radius of six SRM Concrete plants.

“We gained a great quarry here in Bridgeport, and I want to thank all of our team members who continue to help bring this quarry live,” said Ryan Hollingshead, President of SRM Materials. “We’re looking forward to serving a new customer base and supporting the region’s construction and development needs while creating meaningful job opportunities for the local community.”

Born out of a need to supply SRM Concrete plants with quality aggregates, the materials division produces and supplies limestone, granite, river rock, and sand products.

Established in 1999 by Mike and Melissa Hollingshead in Smyrna, Tennessee, the family-owned company owns and operates an expansive network of ready-mix concrete plants, quarries, cement terminals, and other ancillary services across 24 states.
