As a Night Shift Laborer in our Block Division, your role will extend beyond traditional labor tasks. You will be instrumental in performing plant maintenance, operating equipment—including possessing electrical troubleshooting knowledge—and executing various tasks necessary for the ongoing maintenance of plant sites, buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position is crucial for ensuring the continuous production and maintenance of our high-quality standards for all concrete products during the night shift. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated individual who values safety, quality, teamwork, and possesses a versatile skill set to support various operational needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate machinery and equipment used in the production of concrete products, adhering to safety and operational guidelines.

- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on plant equipment, including electrical troubleshooting, to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

- Assist in the maintenance of plant sites, buildings, and grounds to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

- Load and unload construction materials, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage.

- Comply with all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required.

- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets, maintain high-quality product standards, and support various operational needs as they arise.

 

Qualifications:

- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.

- Versatility to work in a variety of roles within the plant.

- Strong communication skills.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Basic tool knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance.

- Forklift experience preferred but not required.

- Physical fitness to perform manual labor in a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

- Commitment to safety protocols and a safe working environment.

- Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills.
