SRM Concrete, also known as Smyrna Ready Mix Concrete, has acquired Piqua Concrete, the former company said. This marks Nashville, Tenn.-based SRM’s third buyout of an Ohio-based company in the past 12 months, SRM said in an announcement. In 2017, SRM purchased All-Rite Ready Mix and Spurlino Materials.
Historic City News has learned that the business assets of local concrete manufacturer, Griswold Concrete, located at 201 Concourse Drive in Elkton, and 11660 Camden Road in Jacksonville, have been purchased by Tennessee based concrete manufacturer, SRM Concrete.
Smyrna Ready Mix Concrete, LLC, a Tennessee based concrete manufacturer, announced today the acquisition of Spurlino Materials. Spurlino Materials has six ready mix concrete plants that span across Indiana and Ohio.
President of SRM Concrete, Mike Hollingshead, stated, "We knew we were walking into a great situation after meeting with the Spurlino family. I could not feel any better about the company after meeting with all of the employees."
This acquisition will give SRM two new locations in Indiana that include Indianapolis and Noblesville. SRM will also operate four new locations across Ohio that include Cincinnati, Cleves, Dayton and Middletown. SRM Concrete presently serves Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.
