Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Your Job will be Operator, not just a Truck Driver. You will be in charge of a $225,000+ vehicle. Driving is an important part of this position; however it is only a small portion of your entire job. Your main function will be to provide the customer with excellent customer service and quality concrete on time by operating the Mixer at their jobsite.
· When operating a commercial vehicle, the use of cell phones is prohibited. The safety of everyone is first and foremost. We expect everyone to stay off of the phone for any reason while operating any of our vehicles. If you have an emergency and need to use the phone, please pull over and place the vehicle in the park position.
Our work schedules carry from day to day and week to week. Some days we come to work early and on other days we work late. Each afternoon you will be told when to arrive to work for the next day. Your ending time will also vary. We will go home when the work is competed. Our workweek is typically Monday- Saturday, and on average you will work about 50 hours per week. Overtime and Saturdays are mandatory. Other times, weather or lack of volume can limit the number or hours we can work.
We are professionals; therefore we must look and act like it. You will be expected to maintain a clean and neat appearance, and adhere to the dress code at all times. Everyone will be treated with respect. Disrespect of coworkers and customers is not tolerated.
Occasionally, due to a change in the workflow, you will likely be loaded out of other plants. Also it may be necessary to transfer you to a different location for either short or long periods of time. You may also be asked to perform duties other than operate a Mixer Truck. Your cooperation is expected. At SRM Concrete, we all pitch in to help whenever needed, regardless of what our job title may be.
You will be assigned a truck. It is your responsibility to keep it clean and to report and issues to your supervisor or plant manager. In the event you are needed to operate a different truck, you are to maintain it as well or better than your own assigned Mixer Truck.
We want you to succeed! To make sure that you start off on the right foot, SRM will provide you with top-notch training. We will do our best to train you as close to the plant you are hired for as possible. Your willingness to participate in the training is required.
