Summary:

SRM is looking for an experienced Dozer Operator to join our North Georgia team. We are a family owned, Christian based company that values our employees. This position is responsible for safely operating a dozer and/or other heavy equipment in an appropriate manner, keeping the equipment clean, maintained and secured as directed by policies and procedures. Must have prior experience digging on steeper terrain and near utilities. Other heavy equipment operations may include trucks, excavators, compactors, and graders.

Requirements:

• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required.
• Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored.
• Participate in routine maintenance.
• Practice workplace safety.
• Knowledge of truck and equipment safety.
• Knowledge of operation backhoes, dozers and other pieces of equipment.
• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Other duties as assigned - the title of the position you are in does not necessarily dictate what we may need you to do that day. The ability to be flexible and do what the company needs is very important.

Pay rates depend on driving experience and previous ready mix experience and will be discussed in a face to face interview
